We are recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join a manufacturing business in Hartlepool. This role will focus on maintaining and improving mechanical systems, ensuring production targets are met and downtime is minimised.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical systems, plant, and machinery.

• Fault finding, strip down, and repair of mechanical components.

• Supporting installation and commissioning of new machinery.

• Working closely with production teams to identify and resolve issues.

• Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and site standards.

Requirements:

• Recognised mechanical qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent).

• Strong background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing setting.

• Experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatics.

• Proactive and team-oriented approach.

• Excellent fault-finding and hands-on skills.
